Nitin Bhargava joins the Board of SQA Consulting as a Non-Executive Director

Nitin Bhargava

Globally recognized as QA pioneer and Compliance SME, Nitin Bhargava was appointed to the Board of SQA Consulting to specifically assist the company manage its rapid growth and support the shaping of our development, compliance and quality assurance solutions.

Nitin brings 25 years Banking and Financial Services experience where he has led transformational change across various functions of Investment, Retail and Corporate banking - Quality and Testing, Technology programs, Products, Marketing, Credit, Business operations and Sales.

Currently the CTO of Mashreq Bank, Nitin has assumed the nonprofit role to work alongside the board and its strategic advisors to ensure that SQA Consulting exceeds its goals as it expands globally.

Nitin’s pedigree is unquestionable, his glowing career history includes strategic positions with JP Morgan, Barclays, Morgan Stanley & Citibank.  He joined JP Morgan to:

  • Establish a quality and testing organization
  • Implement quality improvement programs (QIP) across LoBs
  • Define SDLC and implement controls
  • Automation to increase Agility in software delivery
  • Standardize tools for productivity enhancements

Prior to that, in Barclays, he created a centralized Testing Services for applications testing across GRCB, Cards, Emerging Markets, Western Europe and Central Support. Nitin’s primary focus on a global scale was to aggressively reduce the cost of testing, increase the quality of testing and accelerate test execution phases. He managed a 1100+ strong Testing Centre of Excellence team across 8 locations where test expertise are provided, standard processes are implemented, appropriate test tools and environments are provided, continuously developing meaningful metrics and managing a budget of £60 million.

Prior to joining Barclays in 2005, Nitin was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley where he delivered strategic programs including consolidation, expansions and in sourcing.

Nitin's formative years were in Citibank where he spent nine years working in all aspects of banking, starting with Retail Banking product development to Credit and Risk. When he left in 2000, he was the Regional Technology Head for Emerging local Corporate Banking & eCommerce at Citibank. He pioneered and implemented internet/WAP mobile phone technology, state-of-the-art Lending System for Citibank's Corporate Customers across Europe and Africa.

Nitin holds an MBA from The Ohio State University, USA where he topped the course (Weilder Scholar) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Hindu College, University of Delhi, India.
